Day +2 Chow Mein, Costco surprise, working for/with the wife and 24 hour Del Taco

Chow Ma Main for breakfast...Red Wok is officially evacuated from the fridge...A little bland, but nothing that a little soy sauce didn't fix.

Worked with/for the wife today selling a merchandise to a tea time for one of the local churches.  I was wondering where all the women were since we normally have a ton of people there, but then I realized that Tiger Woods was golfing down the street...HAHAHA...

During the break, the wife and I head down the street to Costco...I have to ask, who had the great idea of making a Carne Asada bake... Good in theory, but definitely not as good as a chicken bake.  I wanted so much more out of it, but something just tasted funky...Not like BO or rotten funky, but something about the carne asada just didn't sit taste right to me...I think it was the guacamole...You shouldn't cook the guac....It's gotta go on top...I think I figured it out right there... So if you're reading this Costco, take the guacamole out of your carne asada bakes...

I've been addicted to Black Ops for the last few days...I just got done running the game for 4 hours straight.  After stepping out of my comfort zone as a flanker, I was able to buy the proper equipment for my more familiar post play/sniper positions...This is probably the only thing I can think of that I enjoy as much as BJJ...It's always fun being mic'd up with my friends and family, shooting people in the face.

Just got done destroying a couple of del Taco chicken burritos... That was it... For me, that's unbelievably healthy. A normal, late night/morning meal consisted of about $25...No soda, but a bottle of water...

Sportscenter...I think I've watched more Sportscenter over the last 30 days considering it was the only thing on TV worth watching on the cruise AND in this hotel...

I need to get my hour of sleep... wink...

BJJ and fast food...Then Cleveland/Miami...AND Tiger Woods in TO.

I got owned today by 4 hard rolling sessions at BJJ... I am out of shape...I hurt...I was the always sore guy when I first started BJJ...Now I'm the "I can't move guy" at the end of class...I want more mat time...

Where does fast food come in?  It shouldn't...When I was doing BJJ every day, I ate on time and never really overindulged because I didn't feel like puking on the mat. My diet affected my performance and I'd like to think of myself as competitive.  I was timing my meals with my training schedule...I was getting ripped (okay, that's an exaggeration...I'm calling myself out...)... I was always well hydrated and flexible.

Five months of real world work and out that goes. Ugh...

Okay, I couldn't help blogging about this, but I really enjoyed the Cleveland/Miami debacle...Man those Cleveland fans are BITTER!...I secretly was hoping that Cleveland would oust the Heat, but I really enjoyed the way that LeBron James DESTROYED the Cavs...

Tiger Woods in TO...As much as I love watching Tiger Woods play golf, I gotta wonder if he's hitting the bars out in this area...There's a lot of his "type" running around this area and he's single now...I mean, he's probably focusing on his golf game this weekend, but at the same time, he was crushing golf when he was out getting play off the course.  It's intriguing to me to think about Tiger Woods picking up on women...Does he throw out a lot of money or is it pure game?  Like I said, intriguing.

I over ate...Salmon, rice and a couple bowls of cereal with vanilla soy...I'm too sore to sleep...

Falling asleep early and waking up...early...

I had to fall asleep at 2000 tonight...I was tired...

Now here I am at 2330...

WIDE AWAKE...

Surprisingly not hungry...hmmm...

24 hour urine test, Chinese food in Newbury Park and Fresh and Easy

I love giving my nurses and doctors crap when they try to explain things to me about my health.  Look...I understand the condition I have and the complications that rolls with it.  I also love the way they try to use "layman's" terms to tell me things...

PA: When you wake up, I need you to pee in the toilet...
Me:  ...As opposed to peeing into my bed?

Nothing but downhill from there really...  :)

Found this place called Red Wok where we are temporarily located.  This recent cold weather had me looking for soup.  I bumped my wife's order of wonton soup to a large and ordered a chow ma mein soup bowl.  If I ever make it down there again, I'm going to have to try the beef stew.  I really would like to be educated on the styles of Chinese cooking so that I know what to order when I come across different restaurants.

The way I look at it, the fact that I understand that there are different styles of Chinese cooking puts we way beyond the average person, thinking that egg rolls and sweet & sour chicken are authentic Chinese cuisine.  Not to say that I don't enjoy American Chinese food, I don't point people to Panda Express when they want Chinese food.

I don't know why it bothers me that people ask for teriyaki sauce whenever they eat at some Asian restaurant.  Or put soy sauce on white rice that's not fried.  I'm sure I'm not the only one...In the end, if it goes in the mouth and you like it, just like the cup o' noodles instructions say, "Enjoy!".  However, "tolerance" is not "acceptance" for blind ignorance.

Fresh and Easy...Is it really "fresh" or "easy"...I must say that I enjoy heading in there about an hour before closing so there's a lot less people and I can really read the labels on the Fresh and Easy brand items.  Having my tremendous appetite wrangled in by my modest wallet, I'm always looking to save where I can. All I can say is that I've never been disappointed by anything I've bought from Fresh and Easy...

Well...Now that I think about it, there was this funky, yellow looking mold in a bottle of Louisiana Hot Sauce I bought from there.

But seriously, other than that, that's really it...

I guess it's better than dropping a G a Costco.

Movie Food

What is it about movies that inspire that mass inhalation of popcorn, nachos, candy, hot dogs, ice cream, icee, and soda?  Hot dogs?  Concessions at a movie cost more that 4 star dining now a days. A movie just isn't complete without buying $40 of movie food.  I guess this is my way of saying that I wouldn't mind a box of bottle caps right now.

I'm back?

After failing at video blogging (I just don't have a face for YouTube...Or cleavage...) and all my attempts to break into xanga and yelp's inner circles, here I am blogging again. No more hiding behind anonymous names.  This one will be all me.  Here's to new beginnings...
